Research

NISLab's research is in the areas of computer networks and distributed systems, particularly in support of information systems that can scale with both network size and data size. Current research projects include data management, retrieval, and networking designs for decentralized networks such as P2P networks and wireless sensor networks. We are also interested in developing multimedia systems, with emphasis on scalable P2P/overlay techniques for multimedia multicast. NISLab's research has been funded by the US National Science Foundation.
