Binh Tran, a first-year PhD student of NISLab, has been awarded an internship to work with the US Department of Defense (DoD) in Summer 2009. This prestigious program gives enrolled, degree-seeking students the opportunity to develop skills, make professional contacts, build their resumes, and explore future career opportunities in the DoD. Examples of work completed by past interns include analysis of major weapon systems, statistical analysis of budget submissions, updating and maintaining departmental websites, or assisting with military to military bilateral relations. Binh will spend 10 weeks in Washington DC in the summer. We hope that the knowledge he will gain from this experience will benefit the doctoral research work he is pursuing. Congratulations!
