2009 ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest

BOSPRE at UMass Boston

This year UMass Boston is one of the sites for the preliminary round of the Northeast region of the ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest. BOSPRE 2009 is a cooperative effort of UMass Boston, Wellesley CollegeTufts University (the three host sites), and Harvard, which provides judging and problems.

Taking T is highly recommended; parking is limited on the contest day as the University is having an Open House on the same day). The contest will be held in the Computer Science Dept on the 3rd floor of the Science Building; see campus map and 3rd foor map below:

Schedule: Saturday, October 17

8:30-9:55 Arrive at UMass and check in in Room  SC-3-132. When you arrive you will be given individual packet of information and the team registration fee of $75 will be collected. It is preferable to pay by check (made payable to "UMass Boston" but cash can also be accepted. We will not have any way to take credit card payments.

9:55-10:00 VERY short meeting in Room SC-3-158 solely to introduce the people running the contest and answer questions. In theory, everything you really need to know will be in the handouts which you have read off the web and were given in hardcopy when you checked in. The meeting will end at 10:00am SHARP with problems being handed out, after which teams will go to their terminals.

10:00-3:00 The actual contest! (in room SC-3-158)

11:30-4:00 Lunch will be available for contestants to eat as they please during this time (please don't eat in the computer room).

3:00-4:00 The final scores will be released, and we may discuss some problem solutions.
